The Exercise Science Club is an undergraduate student-run club that looks to educate as well as advocate the health and wellness of all Sacred Heart students and the community. The EX Club allows exercise science majors as well as non-exercise science majors the opportunity to socialize and share the common belief in a health lifestyle. Meetings are held bi-weekly. The club allows members a unique chance to attend regional ACSM conferences, especially the individuals that take part in the clubs events, all which focus on one part of SHU LACES: Leadership, Academic, Community, Exercise, Service.

The Sacred Heart University Math Club strives to increase awareness and enjoyment of mathematics. Such efforts include: an annual Alumni Night where former majors from SHU come back to speak with current students about their careers and how their math backgrounds have supported them; gathering information on graduate schools and displaying them; making math a discipline for all students; inviting mathemiticians to speak on campus; and reaching out to local elementary/intermediate schools to promote math. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas to expandour mission. Meetings are a great way to meet people of similar interests and enjoy math in a fun, relaxed environment, no matter what academic background they are coming from.

Sacred Heart University’s Men Entering Nursing (SHU MEN) is a chapter of the American Association of Men in Nursing (AAMN). It is safe space for all students to support and encourage men of all ages to become nurses and to exemplify the growing contributions of men in the nursing field. The chapter promotes the retention of men in our nursing program through collaboration and peer support. It provides a place for men entering nursing to meet, discuss challenges, overcome barriers, and instill pride in the profession of nursing by recognizing the unique contributions they provide in healthcare both locally and nationally.

This club is great for those who are interested in Neuroscience in any capacity. Many of our members have various majors, such as Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Communication Disorders, Social Work, Psychology, Pre-OT, Pre-SLP, Pre-PT, Pre-PA, Pre-Med, Nursing, Criminal Justice, etc. Some things that we have done previously include an Alzheimer's fundraiser, table time activitiesinternship opportunities, guest speakers, volunteer opportunities, and research fairs. Our goal is to bring together a community of people who have a passion for neuroscience and may want to be more involved in activities with their best interests in mind.

The student-led and operated Social Work Club (SWC) seeks to supplement the efforts
of the School of Social Work by dismantling and resisting all forms of social inequality,
specifically as it relates to social work practice.

It should be noted membership is not limited to social work students as the Social Work
Club (SWC) actively works to promote inclusion of interprofessional disciplines; anyone
who wishes to work toward the common good and advocate for vulnerable populations
are welcome.

The club’s emphasis is on mentorship and networking within the field of social work as
well as other professions. With the goal to advance the rights of all human beings,
especially those belonging to vulnerable populations.

Student Nurses' Association is a student-run organization that aims to provide additional resources and support to Sacred Heart nursing students through a series of speaker talks, events, and activities. SNA also supports numerous fundraising and volunteer opportunities for members to be involved with to support our local community.

Students achieving the required amount of SNA points over their schooling can earn an SNA cord for gradution. Additional cords are provided for students who become involved in leadership opportunities.

This club can provide a supportive community where women in often male-dominated STEM
fields can share experiences, challenges, and strategies for success. It can encourage more
women to pursue STEM fields. The club can organize workshops, conferences, and speaker
events to help members build essential skills, from technical expertise to leadership and
communication to prepare them for successful careers. We can get professors or alumni in the
field to come in and speak to the members about the field. We can organize some hands-on
experiences. We can offer peer tutoring, study groups, and academic support for members
struggling with challenging stem courses. We can also organize meetings where we can make
bracelets, or sew blankets, etc. and donate them to a children’s hospital. We would like to give
back to the community and provide more hand-on experiences.
