About Us
Sacred Heart University’s Men Entering Nursing (SHU MEN) is a chapter of the American Association of Men in Nursing (AAMN). It is safe space for all students to support and encourage men of all ages to become nurses and to exemplify the growing contributions of men in the nursing field. The chapter promotes the retention of men in our nursing program through collaboration and peer support. It provides a place for men entering nursing to meet, discuss challenges, overcome barriers, and instill pride in the profession of nursing by recognizing the unique contributions they provide in healthcare both locally and nationally.
