About Us
The Sacred Heart University Math Club strives to increase awareness and enjoyment of mathematics. Such efforts include: an annual Alumni Night where former majors from SHU come back to speak with current students about their careers and how their math backgrounds have supported them; gathering information on graduate schools and displaying them; making math a discipline for all students; inviting mathemiticians to speak on campus; and reaching out to local elementary/intermediate schools to promote math. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas to expandour mission. Meetings are a great way to meet people of similar interests and enjoy math in a fun, relaxed environment, no matter what academic background they are coming from.
